The post-trip review that makes your next holiday easier
A few notes after returning can improve the next trip more than another folder of destination inspiration. Write them while the practical details are still fresh, before the journey becomes only its best photographs.
Record what actually worked
Note the accommodation features, packing choices and transport arrangements that made the trip comfortable. Be specific: an early check-in or a nearby grocery shop is more useful than “good location.”
Identify one avoidable difficulty
Choose a problem you could realistically address next time, such as a tight connection, too many hotel changes or an unclear budget. Avoid turning the review into a list of things you should have enjoyed more.
Save a reusable lesson
Update a packing list, document folder or booking checklist with the finding. Keep destination-specific facts dated because prices and rules change. The point is not to optimize every minute of future travel. It is to remember enough about your own preferences that planning becomes easier and the next holiday fits the way you actually like to spend time.
